So it sounds like using common sense in picking these companies really doesn't work. The fact of the matter is if you just put all your money in the IPO for Yhoo and held you would have made a bunch of money. I'm curious if anyone has even done that. I tried to hold but got nervous in July and sold. Everyone has been saying Seek is such a "value" investment, but it still has way underperformed all the others. Would be nice if there was someway to explain all of this. If not then it doesn't take a rocket scientist to pick winning stocks. Forget PE's, market cap, etc. It's Yhoo. I wondered why I made so much paper money when I picked stocks at 12 years old. The funniest to me is the shorts. With every stock lately down 50% go look at Yhoo and Amzn and see how many shorts that are still just waiting. Someday they say. Yep I'm sure it will be someday, but they aint making a dime right now and with all the blood on the street I say they picked the wrong stock.
