When Apple dropped from 700 to 390, it could have been either a great buying opportunity or what they call a falling knife. Was it possible to distinguish between the two possibilities at the time? MGV thinks it was knowable, based on fundamentals. You seem to think it was unknowable.
I never suggested it was "unknowable" that AAPL could rebound from losing nearly half its value. I said AAPL was objectively of similar risk to peer stocks - not markedly safer or riskier. Anyone who "knew" that AAPL was substantially more likely to rebound than drop could have easily made millions through corresponding options trades. Similarly, any of these brilliant hindsight traders could also "know" what AAPL is more likely to do in the coming two years and place similar trades know. If only MGV would share the secret to his insights...

(The humor in this is that we're talking about a stock that lost value over the period he cited...)
