The fact is that WA state has the highest minimum wage in the country and yet, is one of the most prosperous states economically.

It became prosperous, then it could afford the negative economic impact of a higher minimum wage and still be ok.

Many of the principals that are supportive of a higher min wage were in place well before WA state was even a state. Read about the prosperous potlatch Native Americans and the socialism they practiced. Dare I say, Tim, you might learn something.

If a less prosperous state, like Mississippi, West Virginia, or Idaho, passed such a high minimum, it would be a lot more harmful. The same amount of dollars would represent a larger amount of purchasing power, and at the same time the marginal employer would be generating less income and revenue per employee both in dollar and purchasing power terms.

You don't know that. Its conservative speculation; speculation that usually coincides with an American corp's view of the world. Don't you find that at all suspicious.........that all the economic theories you espouse help to make American corps richer; frequently at the expense of the average American?
