>> I don't care if God came down from his pedestal and gave the same interpretation of the second amendment.

Right. I get that. But the reality is that in this country we live by the Constitution. As you guys are fond of saying, "it is the law of the land." If you don't like it, amend it. But if you're going to try to run rough shod over it, then I think you're going to lose that fight.

Really? Conservatives never liked the prior USSC interpretations of the second amendment so when they gained control of the USSC, they changed the interpretation to fit their ideology.

Conservatives didn't like the Constitutional interpretation of slavery and started a civil war over it. Conservatives don't like the USSC's interpretation on abortion and have fought it every year since Roe vs Wade.

lol. You sound like a stand up comedian.

Don't tell me you guys are Constitutional loyalists. Conservatives are loyal to the Constitution only when it coincides with their ideology.

>> It is the making of a Greek tragedy that you all continue to believe the second amendment means that a nation of 300 million people should have more guns than people esp given the violence that results.

As you are prone to doing, you've have drawn an erroneous conclusion that doesn't follow from the facts.

The fact that there are more guns than people only suggests an average of more than one gun per person. It tells you absolutely nothing about whether a million own 30 each, or each person owns one, or somewhere in between. Lots of people (like me) own a number of guns, but they pretty much get no use at all.

The problem has to do with WHO owns them. Street thugs & criminals? Hunters? Collectors? Policemen? None of the above?

There is one category which poses a problem. The fact that you can't

My God, you are so stuck in your ideology and your fear of change that you can't see the forest for the trees........either that or you are deep into insanity.
