Did you mean ADCT? I have not heard about Fast EtherRing(TM) Switch. I am guessing it is for LAN and campus applications rather backbone networks. Likely, it may only fit some niche markets. Personally, I don't think it is a technology breakthrough. Also, I don't believe it will pose any challenge to ATM/SONET solutions. ATM/SONET is the KING to backbone networks,IMHO. With the rapid cost reduction of hardware for ATM and SONET(50% this year based on my experience), it will be getting more and more popular and affordable. Regards,
