I based my claims on the chart.

The chart doesn't support your claim, it shows that "every country (on the chart) except France had cut spending by 2011" is false.

It also shows that the cuts in the topline in the countries that did make cuts, were very small (Also they were largely reversed since then but that's not in the chart since it doesn't go that far).


You can argue until the cows come home and point out every small nuance you can but austerity or even standing in place isn't beneficial when there is a recession.........esp a severe one. Increased gov't spending is what gets countries out of recession. Conservatives approach to economics is screwed up and only benefits the rich.
