Re Brian Heath's Declaration of Impending Doom.

Other assertions in Brian's post have already been dealt with. I want to address two items: "Salesmen as credible sources" and "Clik!=Nothing".

Regarding the first, Salesman are notoriously ill-informed - especially those in tech areas, where they usually have too little background in too-complex a field.. Unless the salesman's name was "God", I would give his/her predictions the negligible weight it deserves.

Regarding Clik!. Huge! Real - not vapor. Folks at comdex were playing with - and dropping - prototypes of this device. It took a licking and kept on ticking. If I was not already in IOMEGA, I woould buy it for Clik!'s potential alone.

By the way, someone a few weeks back posted a note on Clik! specs - but said they had no idea what power consumption would be.
Iomega's spec sheet on click says that it takes about the same power to record a megabyte on click as to light "a miniture christmas light" for one second. This has got to be in the milliwatt range - and that is LOW. IS there anyone who beleives that handheld- device manufacturers will not be beating a path to Iomega's door to incorporate Clik! into their devices?

Lastly - in a general vein - It always tickles me when someone comes along and makes outrageous assertions based on paltry evidence - and justifies it all with the phrase "IMHO". It may be an "O", but there is nothing "H" about it

About the current share price drop: just remember "this too shall pass".
