Here is an easy question for a sharp :-) legal mind such as yours...Do those who are now on older minimum wage also receive social assistance like welfare? and if so would they lose this assistance with a higher minimum wage like 15.00/hr. ? The Emerald City may witness the economic dangers of hiking the minimum wage to $15/hour sooner rather than later. SeaTac, a suburb of Seattle, hiked the minimum wagefor certain service industry employees to $15 at the beginning of the year, and there are already signs that the sudden increase is having a negative impact.
