Yes we do, blaming Bush or anyone is counter productive. Focus on finding solutions and implementing them.

We absolutely can. It is done all the time in various circumstances where organizations are interested in improving work conditions, effectiveness, and/or bottom line performance.

If you can make that case (which you haven't) then your solution should be presented as a one time expense not as an increase.

Doctors aren't the only service they need but I see this as a viable alternative. This is similar to what we do when construction contractors are not getting the job done... we take the money from the contract and hire someone to complete the job. Should we do that to the VA?

That is a much more complicated solution than you are suggesting, since it would create a shortage elsewhere. How do you know pay being too low is the problem? I heard the docs they have are not serving enough patients.

No doubt the goose steppers will all do what they are told and nothing good will come of it. status quo.
