AudioCodes Mediant Session Border Controllers Enable toplink to Achieve Microsoft Certification for Its SIP Trunking Service
AudioCodes, a leading provider of converged voice solutions that enable enterprises and service providers to transition to all-IP voice networks, announced today that its Session Border Controller (SBC) products have been selected by toplink GmbH, one of Germany's leading alternative telecommunication service providers. toplink incorporates AudioCodes' SBCs to enable seamless connectivity between the Lync deployments of enterprise customers and toplink's SIP trunking network.
Supported by their local system integration partner Xantaro, toplink has deployed AudioCodes' high capacity Mediant 4000 SBCs, a fully Lync-qualified SBC device capable of supporting up to 5,000 sessions per chassis, to act as a centralized demarcation device between its next-generation network core and the Lync-based unified communications systems of its enterprise customers. With the Mediant 4000 at the edge of its core, toplink was able to achieve qualification as a Lync-certified SIP trunk provider.
toplink's solution enables Lync customers to connect seamlessly to its SIP trunks without the need for an on-premises SBC. Through a specifically designed advanced configuration of toplink's next-generation network, in combination with the Mediant 4000, toplink is able to address the specific needs of its customers for both on-premises and highly scalable Microsoft Lync cloud-based deployments.
"We are very happy to partner with AudioCodes as part of our Lync product development strategy," explained Holger Alt, Head of Product Management at toplink GmbH. "Thanks to AudioCodes' Mediant SBCs, we are able to provide seamless and secure connectivity as part of our certified SIP trunking service to our Lync customers. Our customers can thus gain a rapid entry into SIP trunking services, enabling them to reap the full benefits of unified communications while maintaining control over the total cost of ownership." |
