When you see him criticize Apple for failing at market share or openness, just know that those criticisms are through the lens of benchmarks that he personally values. Those are not criteria that Apple should necessarily be judged against more broadly. I personally take it for granted that Apple can and will grow unit sales and profits while losing market share, as they have done in the past.
