Nixon, a republican, ended the Vietnam war. Who started it, a dem? Who escalated it, a dem? So in your book starting a war with thousands of US soldiers killed is quite OK - as long as dems started it, right? With same guys being even less criminal than the 'criminal' it took to put an end to it.
