The interest in the Trading Desk Thread seems to have spurred some interest in our firm, enough to have a thread dedicated to feedbackon Yamner & Co., Inc.

Now that there is a thread regarding our firm, I will obviously have to ensure that questions posted here are given their due regard. Nonetheless, I am hoping that the majority of the questions regarding market operations, trading systems, strategies, etc. are still posted on the Trading Desk Thread, Subject 15612
or on The Final Fronteir Thread, as these are more active threads where detail answers can benefit a larger number of potential readers.

For those who don't know who we are.....
Yamner & Co., Inc. is discount brokerage firm that has
served the financial community for more than twenty years.
We pride ourselves on the strong relationships we develop
with our clients. We do not make markets or act as
principals in any of our clients' stock transactions.
Avoiding these inherent conflicts of interest, we are better
able to represent our clients' best interests and help them
achieve their financial goals. We offer discount commissions
and still provide a full range of high quality brokerage
services.

We are members of the American Stock Exchange, NASD,
and SIPC. We clear through Pershing, a Division of Donaldson,
Lufkin Jennrete.

While Yamner & Co., Inc. is fully committed to the latest in
Wall Street technology yet we still feel the best method for
receiving and confirming client's orders is over the telephone.
Clients using our 800 number are routed directly to our
trading desk where a trader immeidately answers the call, in a position to immediately execute your trade, if possible, and provide a
report within seconds. As well, the trader stands ready to
switch between execution systems to achieve the best
possible execution given market conditions.

On market orders we can give you a execution report while
you wait on the phone. Our traders work your orders for
your benefit. We will call you back immediately after
the execution for those orders we are unable to execute
immediately. Any price improvements that can be realized
are realized by you and not some firm account. Most other
Wall Street firms trade for their own accounts, where price
improvements are mainly realized by the firm, not the client.
Our committment to our clients' best interestes is the
reason for our firms twenty years of success.

Yamner & Co., Inc. services a broad range of clients with
accounts of every size. We service individual investors
and traders as well as money managers and financial
institutions, such as the Trust Co. of NJ.

Anway, that's who we are and what we do. In no way do
I want this thread to become some commercial advertisement
for our firm. I posted the above as anintro to who we are so
that new visitors to this thread know what we are about and
can possibly ask questions.

Understand that I did not start this thread, that it was
started by a very well respected online host with whom I have no
affiliation,, similar to threads that cover some of the other
firms. Those firms, though, do much higher volume and have
a different approach to servicing clients and running their business.

For that reason, I would expect those threads to be very active
while it would not surprise me to see this thread receive very little
interest, which is just fine by me as I would rather contribute in a more
mutually beneficial way.

Again, I want my and my firm's contribution to SI to be through
the Trading Desk Thread and contributions to other threads. If you
have questions about trading strategies, strongly consider post them
here...https://www.siliconinvestor.com/subject.aspx?subjectid=15612
Best wishes,
Steve Goldman
