Former Congressman Allen West joined AM Tampa Bay Wednesday June 4, 2014 to talk about the Bergdahl swap.

“I think that this is very serious when the president of the United States of America decides to release the enemy – prisoners – back to their previous state of nefarious actions,” West said.

Host Tedd Webb asked West if he thought this was a political move that went awry to get the VA scandal off the front pages…?

West said, “Absolutely, I mean you hit the nail on the head. Because the whole thing coming out Saturday, rose garden event, and having the parents there, this was a I’m gonna look real good, everybody is gonna forget about the VA, then I’m gonna head off to Europe and that’s gonna be the end of it. Well this thing has backfired in an immense proportion even worse than the VA scandal…
