If they're saying that then it's garbage because the biggest producers of CO2 in the future will most certainly be these newly emerging economies like China, Brazil and India. At this point it may be too late to do anything about global warming anyway. We're already seeing the melting of permafrost in areas and that will release untold quantities of methane and that's even worse than CO2. New technologies that can absorb CO2 or block sunlight may come out in the future and keep the planet livable but I'm sure I'll be dead by then anyway so good luck to the rest of you.
