I took the time to write this, so here is my take on our predicament and how we got here. It will ruffle some feathers.

The 2010 election was so critical for us to make the fight of our lives. We are at war with the right iwng. So if we are at war, we Democrats need an army to match the Republican army. They fight as a single unit, as an army. Obama had a powerful army at the end of 08 and a country who had the sins of little bush fresh in their minds. Everyone was mad. But he let that opportunity slip away.

He could have led the Democrats to wage a great war on the pubs like FDR did and won many victories in both electing dems across the country and keeping the power of the pubs subdued had he set his army on that task immediately.

But he didn't do that, and I blame Axelrod, Gibbs and Rahm as well, they instead disbanded the army so as not to threaten the pubs and to run their inside game, and set themselves up for the 2012 reelection by moving right without the liberals pecking at their heels. Little if any thought being given to 2010.

The pubs use their army for every advantage. They pack the courts with young right wing radicals. Obama refused to even do that according to Dahlia Lithwick. She said he didn't believe in it. But that is a primary strategy of this war we are having with the right wing. We should have been doing everything we could to pack the courts with young liberals right out of the gate.

But I digress,They should have held on to that army and pointed them to the 2010 elections. They say Obama had the most sophisticated modern ground game anyone ever saw. Imagine what those guys could have done had they been inspired and held together and sent forth into 2010 with an explanation of the importance of he 2010 election. The importance of winning state elections for gerrymandering.

Maybe Obama didn't understand the importance of gerrymandering every 10 years and how that woks, but Gibbs, Axelrod and Rahm knew. In Alaska the dem party has specialists we use for that. And it has had a lot to do with what little power the dems have.

But what those four did right from the beginning (the window of opportunity) was not only nothing, they actually disbanded that army and then insulted them by telling them not to whine. And the troops not only stayed home in 2010, they also did not work much on the 2010 election. They were disheartened.

Right after the election in 08, the Obama administration made a right turn and started pandering to the pubs (all of whom betrayed him e.g. snow) and conservative dems like that filthy Max Baucus and Joe Lieberman. They gave those guys and the pubs everything they wanted and the liberals little to nothing. And when getting even the slightest threat caved in like extending the bush tax cuts. It was the congressional Black Caucus that finally said enough.

I saw no evidence they sent out that army to work on 2010. I saw no evidence they worked hard for the democratic party. It seemed they were totally involved in their own agenda and the dems be damned.

Obama's first job is leader of the Democratic party and he must take the wishes and needs of that party into consideration.
