If there is an unknown bright spot(and I'm not sure there is)the market has over looked S3 new Trio 3D product, which was announced right around the accounting fisco time frame. From what I have heard there is very good market acceptance to this new product. One other bright spot is the new CFO, Walt, he is a step in the right direction with respect to management. It is also my personal belief based on conversations with people who work at S3, that it was Walt who found the accounting problem and lobby to bring it to the forfront.

This is certainly one of the quickest riches to rags stories that I have ever had the misfortune of owning, but I believe there is still a long way to go.

PS. While I believe the article may be true about S3 and Intel and CRUS, its far from a fact. I have seen many other articles(S3 & CRUS graphic buy out, for example)which never proved to be true. The question in my mind is why would S3 and Intel agree to 50-100 million settlement without as so much as a lawsuit???? Nobody....Nobody just hands over 50-100 million without at least an attempt at a fight.
