That is just historically inaccurate. Gorbachev was essentially a bystander; Reagan was 100% calling the shots. Reagan had explained how he was going to do it years before taking office. He set out to do exactly that, and no one who understands the history of it believes anyone other than Ronald Reagan ended the Cold War. Now, there are leftwing nutjobs on this thread who argue otherwise, but their misunderstanding is a product of partisanship. I don't think you're partisan so the only possible conclusion is that you don't know the history.
