The F-35 needs to be scrapped. It is not going to have its expected service life because drones are going to develop too quickly. Drones need to be highly maneuverable. And cheap. Instead of expensive, multi-role aircraft, we have smaller, specialized drones and swarm the opponent.
Exactly. The human manned aircraft we have now are limited by their human component. Their aerial maneuvers are limited by the humans piloting them. Pull too many G's and humans black out. Drones have no such limitation. If they can't already, drones will soon be able to fly rings around human-piloted aircraft, literally.

We just recently landed a drone on a carrier.

Drones aren't limited to the skies. We've got naval, submarine and land drones in the works. Soldiers that execute their orders without fear of death or injury. That have no parents to sadden.

Soon, they'll be autonomous. Just order death and go home for the officers. Watch by satellite.
