Tumultuous Tuesday Facebook. The social media giant made several moves Monday that might affect how investors view its stock today. It announced it had hired former entrepreneur David Marcus, the president of eBay's PayPal division, to lead the expansion of its messaging products and eventually devise a way to earn revenue from them. Facebook became a public company the funds received were enormous from the IPO Next came okay how do we make money and that they are trying to do. Sprouts Farmers Market, Inc became public I am sure all intentions are to build new stores however carrying a PE of 62 in a margin business of around 5% is a but scary and yes I like Sprouts market but I do not like the figures. The stock market doesn't like the figures of whole foods market either. I now think sharing economy where people provide the means /goods and the company who connects the sharers provides the ability to communicate. So to me we now have very lofty priced messaging services. Soon robots will be doing much for humans and that includes far more sensitive voice mail. In my opinion a tremendous amount of productivity is lost when one tries to get through assorted messages to find the right dept that you need to connect to. Human needs are clearly changing but the vast amounts of dollars going into new IPO's make me wonder exactly where the future of people working as service people in some of these companies is headed for. I realize the future lies in sharing information rapidly i think of the field of medicine law gov I also think of security breaches and now I have a head ache. How many security based IPO'S have come out lately.
