ALL that ice is melting? It's been melting for centuries. Take the Mendenhall glacier which has been melting for centuries ... it's uncovering forests buried when the glacier advanced (also happening in the Alps):

Alaska Glacier Thaws, Ancient Forest Emerges

.... The oldest tree Connor has found on the Mendenhall Glacier is around 2,350 years old.

Proof it was warmer there 2350 years ago than it is now. So why should we think they current warming is a crisis?

It's pretty significant in the Arctic because they now have shipping lanes that haven't existed in the last 300 years.

What's so special about the last 300 years??

It's pretty significant in the Antarctic too if you've been following what's happening (only there it's happening underneath the ice). Warmer sea temperatures are melting the ice.

Actually the Antarctic melting is hydrothermal. Antarctic sea ice is at a multi-century high, not a low.

The oceans are absorbing a great deal of the CO2. Why do you think all those reefs are having such a tough time...

What reefs are having a tough time? Come on, do you have to believe every chicken little scare story they think up? Are you worried all the bees and frogs will die too?
