Good afternoon Sonki, VERY OFF TOPIC AND BORING
RE: your Blood pressure reading of 106/95: A normal blood pressure reads 120 over 80 with the systolic pressure measruing 120 mm Hg and the diastolic pressure measuring 80 mm Hg. Both the systolic and diastolic readings are important, neither should be high. Maybe it was the Saki that made your blood pressure a little bit off, but I would keep an eye on that diastolic number of 95 if that is not a typo. It was probably just a one time thing and nothing what so ever to worry about. Just ask them to check it next time you go.
That is great that you are putting such a long time commitment into your health and fitness. Congratulations. Losing weight is a long term effort, but so many people think that they can lose twenty pounds in a few weeks. I am glad to see that you are realistic about it. Good luck. Remember to drink lots of water. Here are some ideas for snacks for you.
Air-popped popcorn seasoned with herbs Bagels, Breadsticks, Broth-based soups, Cereals, (low-sugsr, low-fat) Cocoa,( low-sugar, low-fat), English muffins, fresh fruit, Frozen fruit-juice bars, gingersnaps, graham crackers, low-fat or nonfat frozen yogurt, Matzoh, Pita chips with salsa, Pretzels, Rye crsps or rice cakes THINLY spread with peanut butter or low-fat chesse, Sorbet, Tabbouleh, veggies marinated in vinegar or dipped in low-fat yogurt seasnoed with herbs, whole-wheat crackers. nonfat cream chesse.
Don't also forget that as you are building up your muslces, you body is using more calories (muscle burns more calories than fat even for basal metabolism). That means that even when you are sleeping or doing research on stocks you will be using up more calories. What a deal, right.
Those caliper measurements don't always tell us what we want to hear, do they. But they also can be inaccurate if the person measuring is not trained professionally, or if the calipers are plastic instead of metal or if they measure in the wrong place. I would suggest several readings just to be sure of the accuracy of your fatfold test.
Good luck and best wishes to you.
Margaret :) :) :)
