I had a chance (thanks, rkrw!) to take a stroll in an EKSO suit yesterday, using a walker and with motions controlled by an accompanying physical therapist..... no crutches. Certain that all of you have seen the videos of EKSO ambassadors and others, using the system with crutches. Outrageous sophistication, not apparent from visual sophistication. Not certain how they do it, but turning was simply a matter of notifying me that it was going to happen (so that I could reposition the walker). And, given the crutches, the suit provides a degree of independence far greater than that which I experienced.

Used it in fully automated and hemiplegic (think stroke) mode. Very impressed.

I wasn't the greatest of models, too willful.

;-)

Took only a few minutes to readjust for skinnier, taller me, after a demo by a stocky/muscular EKSO Ambassador (thanks!). A few, simple adjustments and presto! Comfortable.

Best! Rick
