That was not what it was about.

People have really short memories about this stuff. In the two years prior to Bush taking office Saddam's forces had fired on our aircraft more than 700 times. Hans Blix HIMSELF wrote in his book that HE believed Saddam had WMDs, and that had he had more time he believed he could have proved it.

The UN set out criteria which were required to be met by Saddam. He refused to do so. There simply has to be consequences for that. You cannot just cut loose a couple of carriers every time Saddam yanks on the leash.

You and I will never agree about it as most people do NOT agree with me. But it has been my opinion since Day One and my opinion has not changed as a result of after-the-fact information. The decision was made and you have to see it through. Bush did. Obama didn't.
