Mitch,

You apparently STILL have a problem with individuals who choose to be both bearish and bullish about a particular stock or company. I'm frankly still mystified by your dogmatic viewpoint that posters cannot modify their positions or perceptions based on fundamental changes in market conditions or DD-derived insights and knowledge. You look for consistency in a complex and inconsistent marketplace and then become dismayed and antagonistic when a contrary opinion is rendered against your notion of investing propriety. I'm not a trader but a short-term investor in biotech companies whose products I prescribe and have a basic understanding of.

I originally came onto this board several months ago when so-called 'experts' began trashing the future potential of Viagra with blatant misinformation while making unrealistic and inaccurate claims about the efficacy and safety profile of Muse. I had long been a Vivus bull on the Motley Fool/AOL board because of my personal experience with Muse in my clinical practice and long battled 'Crympays', a well-known Vivus bear. However, my perceptions of Vivus (the COMPANY) changed over the summer following several significant interactions with knowledgeable individuals that led me to reassess my position. While I've NEVER wavered in my basic support and enthusiasm for the product itself, I've SINCE consistently related my misgivings about the ethics and integrity of Vivus' management and their inability to be forthcoming with relevant information and updates to physicians and the investment community. Unfortunately, many of my misgivings were apparently warranted. Nonetheless, this is what you continue to construe as 'deception'. Apparently everyone should have only been listening to the fervent Vivus longs all this time---"be careful who you listen to", indeed.

I now choose to reaffirm again my enthusiasm for Muse as a viable product in the ED field and the attractive short-term investment potential of Vivus in today's marketplace. I've also been hurt by this stock's recent price drop as I strongly felt that it had based in the low 20's and never suspected this production shortfall. Assuming that the sincerity management demonstrated in the CC was real and the product ramp-up and advertising initiative is due to occur as planned, this company is a steal at these prices. Perhaps management has learned a lesson here and recent events were errors of commission, not omission. I certainly hope so.
