As I recall, those ice cores showed CO2 went up and down cyclically. However, I'm sure CO2 is higher today than before the industrial revolution. I'm no longer convinced the levels of this trace gas matter much to climate though.

I note satellite data shows no statistical warming over the last 17+ years despite the rising CO2.
