Indirectly. Not directly. Knocking off Saddam led directly to what happened in 2007. What is happening today is a result of Obama's idiotic "good war/bad war" characterization and his foolish position on the war from the outset.

No competent president would have done what he did. Fair enough -- Obama didn't approve of the war to begin with. But that does not mean that once having become president you don't behave responsibly. That is Obama's failure. And it will always be his.

I would also point out that the Iraqi leadership has been BEGGING Obama for support all year long, and been refused at every turn.
