This is a war exactly like the one TR faced in reigning in the Gilded Age and FDR faced in the 30's trying to help the poor and everyone actually. You must fight fire with fire e.g. sometimes only defeating the enemy works e.g Hitler. Do you think when the right wing gets in they think about the entire country. They are at war with the dems 24/7 and have been for almost 100 years and they have been winning. Example: Bush packed the courts with (young) dumb ass right wingers and look what they are doing to the country using the judicial branch. Obama should have known he had to counter that by appointing young liber smart dems. But according to Dahlia Lithwick Obama did not do that, as he does not believe in legislation by the courts. So it is easy to see what the result of that is. The plutocrats have their judges and the rest of us do not, so much. And the result is democracy gets undermined and the rich get richer and poor get poorer.
