What's longevity if you're miserable, though?

IMO the most important things for life, be it long or short, are having a purpose and acting upon it; having curiosity and exploring the questions one is curious about; and service to others.

I'm not sure about statins. I tend to think the less drugs you take, the better. But I agree it's good to eat beneficial oils, and exercise. However, some people totally overdo things. Moderation, in all things- including exercise. Some people are nuts about exercise- and wind up tearing their heart muscles- you'll read about that phenomenon on the net. I think moderate constant exercise is probably the best lifelong pattern, rather than that aggressive stuff some people do (or even worse, the sedentary folks who become weekend warriors- I think they often drop dead from stress induced heart attacks.)
