There are a couple important developments in the Mississippi Senate race that you need to know about.
First, Senator Thad Cochran (R-MS) has now openly acknowledged that he's seeking Democrat votes in the Republican run-off election.
When asked about this, Cochran said, “My arms are open and welcoming and we hope that they will join our campaign and go vote on election day ..."
Can you believe this? He's trying to get Democrats in Mississippi to cross over and hijack the election. It's disgraceful.
Second, Michael Bloomberg -- the gun-grabbing, New York billionaire -- gave $250,000 to the super PAC supporting Senator Cochran.
Why?
Senator Cochran has voted several times with Harry Reid (D-NV) in favor of gun control. In fact, he supported Joe Biden's gun control bill as well as measures to override state laws that protect the rights of gun owners.

 Polls show McDaniel with a narrow lead in the run-off, but the special interests in Washington are funding millions in attack ads against him.
Senator Mitch McConnell (R-KY) hosted a fundraiser for Cochran this week that raised over $800,000 from lobbyists in Washington and there are liberals like Michael Bloomberg and crony capitalists like the U.S. Chamber of Commerce contributing hundreds of thousands too.
The Republican establishment knows how much is at stake in this election and they've said they're going "all in" for Thad Cochran.
The grassroots must rise up and fight back.
We can't let the liberals in New York and the crony capitalists in Washington continue to threaten our freedoms and pile trillions of dollars of debt on the backs of our children and grandchildren.
This race in Mississippi is ground zero in the fight between the conservative grassroots and the Republican establishment.
It's a battle between those who will stand up to the liberals in Washington and those who are willing to compromise with the Democrats to grow the government as long as they can hold on to power.
Let's make history together in Mississippi.
