That's not what the article said, if you had the gumption to understand it.

The crisis is NOW. The unfunded obligation is at present value. For those of you with no understanding of business arithmetic, that means you need 50 Trillion or more today in order to be able to fund future shortfalls.

Also, it isn't talking about 50-70 years hence. And even if it were that is far less than ONE PERSON'S lifetime.

One of the big problems here is that liberals tend to be devoid of analytical skills. Which means you're never going to get it. But perhaps if you read that article a few times you'd start to have some idea. Then perhaps you can move on to authoritative sources.
