For the Majors, focus is on the Kwanza Basin, Angola, in 2014. Eni: The Ombovo-1 well should have reached TD, so far no update. Statoil & Genel: Dilolo (STL operated 40% WI, Genel 8% WI) commenced drilling around early June and should take 100-120 days. Statoil's Tim Dodson (Exec. VP of Exploration) said "this is a mega four-way closure. It could be in excess of 1000 square kilometers, and it's one of the largest closures I've seen in my career. However, multiple wells will be needed to fully test the Dilolo closure, and one well will not provide all the answers." Results expected around end-3Q14 / 4Q14. Total: the Puma well has recently spudded. ConocoPhillips: plans 4 wells on Blocks 36 & 37 starting this year.
Other updates No updates expected from Det Norske, EnQuest, Faroe Petroleum, Genel, Lundin Petroleum, Ophir Energy or Premier Oil.
