Its just geological geusswork based on many indicators drilling is
one, surface erosional exposire is another, attitude of the formation
etc...

They did change drillers to Bradely but haven't yet tried the largest core sizes. The new drillers had just as much trouble as the last.

10% core recovery in bad breccia IS a problem. In my opinion they should have worked harder on solving the problem. It's one of those techno stumpers that need a breakthrough. I advised a bigger rig and some really heavy duty equipment.

If they used a massive 5 inch tricone and drilled only slightly angled holes (25 degrees) with vacuum bailing it might actually be cheaper.
