FLASHBACK: Remember When Paul Wolfowitz Said Not to Worry About Sectarian Violence in Iraq?

I continue to wonder about that. At the time it seemed such an obviously dumb statement, that I read it as a deliberate lie to make the argument for invading Iraq more viable. Not only should he have seen the centuries long hatred of each group for the other, but the cruel form and the various specific cruelties of Saddam Hassan's regime vis a vis the Shias, exacerbated that.

Wolfowitz was not dumb. So I continue to believe that it was a deliberately fraudulent act rather than a dumb one.
