Well, NCD has updated their website. Besides the case study of the Finnish Board of Customs, there's a new graphic indicating Ziff-Davis thinks the Explora is hot stuff. The graphic's not hotlinked to anything yet, but I found the article at ZD Internet myself. zdnet.com

I'm having trouble believing this quote from the article, but here it is...

Lorraine Hariton, senior vice president of marketing and business development at Network Computing Devices (NCD), says in 1997 the Mountain View, CA, company shipped 200,000 NCs to accounts such as FedEx and car maker Rover Group.


You'd really think that with numbers like that NCD could show a profit. Anyway, 200K is pretty impressive since a year ago they were only claiming about 350K (hardware) desktops shipped in 8 or 9 years of being in business. Note also, the past tense (shipped).
