On the Krugman news front. -------------------------- Krugman lunches with Obama By DYLAN BYERS New York Times columnist Paul Krugman attended a private lunch with President Barack Obama on Wednesday. Krugman was among a handful of economists who were invited to the White House to discuss "ways to accelerate economic growth, expand opportunity and improve the competitiveness of the American economy," according to a White House pool report. Others in attendance: Anat Admati of Stanford University, Alan Blinder of Princeton University, Erik Brynjolfsson of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and Roland Fryer and Claudia Goldin of Harvard University. Krugman is professor of economics and international affairs at Princeton University. He will transfer to the City University of New York next year.
