Venkie, I have no fear on performance from Dell. I am concerned about perception of Dell and investor jitters from the asian situation.

If Dell hits on all cylinders and yet the analysts and reporters scare the hell out of investors about predictions that may or may not be real then it gets pretty frustrating.

Likewise with the asian situation. Asian markets may put everything in place to get back on track and yet again analysts and reporters can spin it any way they want.

As for pricing pressure from the others, as long as prices on components are coming down, Dell will be able to cut the fastest with the least impact on the bottom line as they aren't holding a lot of material stock.

Hewlett Packard may get support from other divisions for a quarter or two but eventually they will need earnings or their shareholders will revolt!
