Back in 2009, there were PM gaps left open on that runup from 681. They have all filled since, but if this is a true gold breakout to 1450/1550, those RBY gaps may remain open. If gold turns flat or retraces, it's hard for me to imagine these don't fill, because traders use gaps. I think big short positions actually create them to control price.
I have to play the odds rather than the possibilities, so I layer in on the downside and layer out on the upside.
And RBY has upside gaps also, notably the big one after the last run. That gap fill is at 1.66. I'm fully confident it will fill. The question is, which fill first.
I'll likely sell out at the 1.52 channel top and being looking for a re-entry levels.
I have to trust the lines on the charts.
