6/20/14 Contest update
A number of Contest portfolio stocks celebrated Independence Day early, displaying some impressive fireworks. And the Contest median YTD gain is now almost even with that of the Nasdaq Biotech Index.
At Friday’s close, the Contest median was up 11.57% YTD (vs. up 4.52% YTD a week ago), while the Nasdaq Biotech Index was up 12.61% YTD (vs. up 9.19% YTD a week ago) and the Nasdaq Composite Index was up 4.58% YTD (vs. up 3.21% YTD a week ago).
DEWDIL’s portfolio, up 54.43% YTD, saw BLUE skies shining above and rocketed into the Contest lead. DOUGH’s portfolio, up 44.51% YTD, slipped to second place and WATCHIT’s portfolio, up 44.28% YTD, is a tad behind in third place.
At Friday's close, 35 of the 46 Contest portfolios were in the black, while 22 of the 46 were beating the NBI. The median Contest portfolio stock (CBMX) has 0.00% change YTD.
