As retirees our income - and hence our spending - is dependent on market performance. Ergo our spending certainly helps the employment prospects of others. While "trickle down" economics may be a subject of criticism - IMO it works. So far this year we have taken an unprecedented 3 vacations - my vacation budget is shot. None the less - that spending went to workers from Arizona to Florida to Michigan. If markets were bad - that money would not have been spent.

The issue is why the sole economic policy of Team Obama is trickle down economics (something the Ds so loudly purport to HATE) should be the subject of examination.

We could have jobs from Keystone - Nope - sold out to wacko greens.

We could have jobs from expanded drilling on federal lands - Nope - sold out to wacko greens.

The real question I have is why so many of the supposedly downtrodden are unable to see what the fool in the White House is doing to them. It is almost like he needs to create more victims who he can tell it is all Bush's fault knowing they will believe.

Trickle down economics may not be attractive - but when all other policies are DESTRUCTIVE - it is the only game in town.
