<<offtopic>> eureka! at long last, i have found you again. i just wanted to tell you after laptop hell, i have arrived at a sony vaio. it was a short list between a thinkpad and this. i am satisfied this will perform as well, if not much bettter. i like its features, design, etc. very much. i will upgrade the hard drive, as well as ram: but these are minor considerations. its overall comfort, speed, and portability are a pleasure. randy
