It is very true. Having US attorneys conform to certain political views was unheard of. As was firin It g people because they were suspected of not being loyal enough to the president. These are civil service positions, not political appointment and therefore cannot be done on a partisan basis. They also cannot be done based on the religion of the person in question. However, both were done.
