So, it is okay to fire US Attorneys for political reasons at the beginning of a term, but not in the middle?

That's just stupid.

At any rate, there is no question I'm right and you're wrong. The president has the UNCONDITIONAL STATUTORY PREROGATIVE to fire US Attorneys. Unless someone gets the Supreme Court to find that unconstitutional, it is the law of the land. Period.
