Wealth...or income relative to what frame of reference?
So the parents didn't receive much from the grandparents who "spent their children's inheritance." So the grandkids won't receive much from their parents, save their Medicare bills. :)
Perhaps one might conclude that youth today is objectively 'exploited.' And, that with their massive college loans, they have no fundamental prospects of a higher standard of living than their parents.

If you don't aspire to own a car, a house in the burbs, and many other materialist trappings, perhaps all ya need is a little wacky weed. Poof. No revolt.
BTW, strategy works in the inner cities....all flavors...and all types. And in Vancouver, they aggressively subsidize need exchange.............and have for years.
