Dennis: I never heard of this outfit but that's not surprising
since it's a very small venture capital outfit. The URL says
they have $11M in estimated assets which won't go very
far in that line of business so I guess that means they'll be
looking for partners to help with the development. Not only
is this a very specultive looking investment with plenty of
competition already in place, but their technology requires
glasses to get the 3D benefit and, so far, every one of these
3D formats that required the glasses has either gone bust
or has been very limited, such as Disney's Captain EO and
stuff llike that. I haven't seen the IMAX 3D yet...is it any
good and does it require glasses? The trouble with IMAX is
that they've always had limited venues with limited content
and that's why they've lost money for so many years but now
that they're expanding into the mainstream, they've finally
turned profitable and it looks like the payoff is coming in a big
way. That's a possibility with this other outfit too but probably
there's more chance of losing money so maybe you should
watch it for awhile. Too many stocks are getting priced up
to unreasonable levels in this market so just because the stock
is rising doesn't mean it's a good investment. Look at Diana
Corp.--I still can't figure that one out the way it goes up and
down so much on basically no news and no change in any
of its fundamentals.
