I think the guy comes across as arrogant. But what bothers me most is there is an excuse for everything. Almost, anyway. I don't think there was a real gap in the process when they talk about her going to the IRS IT people -- even in the criminal investigations unit, to try to get the emails off the HD. I've been in the position of having clients want the same from me sometimes, and it is difficult.

The gap is the backups. He seemed to have no idea why, if the emails were so important, they couldn't just go to the tape backups, which should have been available for six months after the crash. He was asked about it, said, "I don't know" and then they moved on. I never heard it brought up again (I didn't watch the end of it, though).

I get really tired of excuses.
