A hippi liberal bush rat Republican governor n the mold of Abe Lincoln, married to a Yupik Esklimo and lived in Naknek partnered up with the hippi ad hoc dems that controlled the house. His aid was a liberal dem named Fran Ulmer who others called super woman. Many credit a gay dem who was a warrior fighting for it for a lot of the ground work needed. Jim Rhodes? We avoided Alberta's pitfalls. Little investing in the state allowed. That way the criminals and pubs could not ge their hands on it. We knew they would try and steal it so we made it impossible. But we did have to pay the pubs off with tax cuts to the oil companies.
