Alfred I do not understand why you are attacking Michael. His posts have been straightward. Being a technical person and not paying to TA and international development, I also have lost a significant amount of cash last week. KLIC did not break by any posting in SE but the unexpected weakness of Korean Won. Korean Won lost almost 40% value in one week. With this type of adjustment, all Korean semiconductor companies (Anam, Hyundai, Samsung, LG) have put the capitals on hold until the currency situation is stabilized. It does not matter exchange rate of Won to dollar but they need to know the stable exchange rate to develop a recovery plan. I believe Korean Won broke down because one major Korean president candidate public stated that he will repeal the Korean-IMF agreement. This has been retracked last Friday but the damage is done. There will be a major restructuring of Korean semiconductor companies in coming years but the total worldwide need for bonders will remain same. It is matter who will buy the machine. I predict that Taiwanese companies will be the windfall winners with the slow down of Korean capital slow down as Korean was from Japanese in early 1990. I just hope you refrain from any personal atack. This forum has been very civil and we like to keep it that way. Have a nice day.
