MM, I am left to wonder why you are hitting the panic button just on this single piece of news. The investors and even the World markets still believe that the direction of the US economy continues to go upwards. Even the Republican Party has not yet jumped in to make economy a issue for Nov. 2014

Even the snippet you posted indicates that the figures we are seeing for Q1 may be due to the harsh winter months. Maybe, we need to hit the panic button if we see this as a trend for the next two quarters. However we surely need to take note of this number out today.

I know I am sounding like Karl Rove telling FOX News not to act and call the Ohio results for Obama. But isn't that different than this one?

Would you know what Jack Welch is doing these days? I don't see him on TV anymore
