Why do you say it's ridiculous? We had the world on our side after 9/11 and we could have run down all those guys even if it meant going into Pakistan after them. It wouldn't have halted terrorism but it would have slowed it down appreciably. Our going into Iraq just created a whole new set of Sunnis looking to join terrorist groups.
